Wrongfully-terminated employee gets pawsitive payback by returning her uniform with a purrsonal touch: 'I smiled sweetly at her and left the office'

One of the things you have to learn to accept as a pawrent is that you will have cat hair all over your clothes all of the time. And furniture. And, sometimes, even your toothbrush. No matter how much you vacuum or use the lint-roller, there is no arguing with the purrsistence of your fluffy feline's hair. We wear it proudly, as a sign that we are loved by our cats so much that we take pieces of them with us everywhere, but not everyone appreciates our feline fashion choices as much as we do.

Certainly not our boss, who doesn't have the same appreciation for cats as we do. Seems like all bosses are that way - and we can say that because the story below proves our point. After being wrongfully terminated, one pawrent employee was forced to give back a uniform they paid for. But, thanks to her very fluffy feline, she complied with the demands by adding a purrsonal touch - leaving her supervisor upset in the most satisfying of ways.     They did say I could gather it all and bring it to them a couple of days later. After thoroughly reading my contract, I confirmed I was only required to bring them back undamaged. It didn't say they had to be clean.

    So, when I got home, I poured everything in a big pile and called my cat over. She was a long- haired cat who coated everything I owned in white fluff. When she understood that I was giving her free reign to sleep on the clothes, and she obliged.

These clothes were quite undamaged, just not clean and that wasn't stipulated in the contract. I smiled sweetly at her and left the office.

    GreyWulfen That sounds scammy if they make you buy the uniforms and then demand them back but don't reimburse you. It should be one or the other. That's why you win the lawsuit I'm sure

  • Okay, there is malicious compliance, and then there is just purrre malice. Putting the things in the litter box is a step too far in our humble opinion. No need to start playing with karma, you wouldn't want any of it coming back to you!

  • We always knew having cats would help us one day. We didn't think it would be for this specific reason, but hey, when life gives you lemons, cover them in cat hair and give them back to your boss who deserves lemons covered in cat fur.
